Vocab Word #1

Please post one word from your personal vocab, along with a definition in your own words (that is, you should understand every word in the definition). To get credit, you must provide a word that one might actually use in writing or conversation, give a correct definition, and be the first one to post the word. If someone else has already posted the word you were planning to contribute, you need to find another word. Please post your word by midnight, Thursday, January 17, 2008.
