Wilding was a story that brought safety in to a better perspective for me. I usually do not wear a helmet when I long board. When I heard the story about Zena I thought about how I have been long boarding for a while and think I am good enough not to wear a helmet. I did not realize really how dangerous it is, because just last year a kid from Heritage high school died while riding one. I did not really think about that during class but then I thought about it at home. Whether I have to wear a helmet or I have to be more careful I am not really sure if I want to but it might be the best thing to do.

Wearing a helmet is no doubt a good idea, even if it doesn't seem "coolish" at the time, and I'm glad to see you reach this conclusion. It certainly does connect to the story. I'd like to see you explain that connection a bit more in your response. Explain what details of the story brought you to your new perspective.

The story wilding made me think of making decisions. Zena made the choice not to wear her collar when wilding which caused her to almost die. Just basic decisions can be life threatening if you dont make smart choices. Wilding made me realize that every choice you make can make a difference in your life so you should be safe and smart!

This story that we read in class was very interesting and i wanted to share a little more about what i thought about it. I really liked the way that the author tried to to create a teenage lingo and style for the time that the author placed this story in. I was wonder why did the author incorperate the story Where the Wild Things Live I thought it was cleaver but why.
